Diploma of Beauty Therapy WRB50105A total of 33 units of competency must be completed. This course comprises of 23 core units and 10 elective units.

Certificate IV of Beauty Therapy WRB40105
A total of 25 units of competency must be completed. This course comprises of 21 core units and 4 elective units.

Certificate III in Beauty Services WRB30104
This course is designed for students to develop the skills and knowledge to be a qualified beauty practitioner. Students will learn skills needed to perform lash and brow treatments, temporary epilation and other beauty treatments.

Certificate II in Nail Technology WRB20104
This course provides students with the knowledge and skills to apply acrylic nail art. Students will be accredited with a Certificate II in Nail Technology.
Course Cost: $3 250.00
Certificate III in Nail Technology WRB30204
This course provides students with the knowledge and skills to establish their own nail technology business. Students will learn acrylic and gel applications, manicures and pedicures, drill techniques and nail art. Students will be accredited with a Certificate III in Nail Technology.

Short courses are suitable for those who wish to try their hand in beauty therapy, or for those who are simply interested in learning beauty or skincare techniques.Price: Varied
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is available to all students. Previous experience or skills may help in accelerated formal recognition. In order to grant recognition of prior learning, students are required to meet current industry competency standards.
Evidence of RPL can include certification, references from past employers, testimonials from clients and work samples. Documentation must be authentic, valid, reliable, current and sufficient.
For further information the Academy can offer students a more detailed description of Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) and Recognition of Current Competencies (RCC), which are available upon request.
In the event that RPL and RCC assessments are required to be conducted within the Academy, a nominal fee is applicable upon application of the assessment.
Mutual Recognition
Mutual Recognition recognises your study with another Registered Training Organisation (RTO) in Australia. Upon presentation of a Statement of Attainment or a Qualification under the Australian Qualification Training Framework (AQTF), you will be awarded credit which will shorten your study time. Credit can only be awarded to a current subject that has been previously studied.
Training Delivery Strategies
All courses resulting in qualification are government-accredited courses. Training is competency based, where students are required to demonstrate their competence in the relevant training program prior to learning new programs.
Competency for each training program is assessed by given assignments. Students are required to be competent in all areas of each unit to qualify.
A course outline has been developed for all accredited courses. Please ensure that you have received a course outline for your course before commencing study. You will be given further information regarding your course in Week 1.
Assessment Strategies Your training and assignments will consist of learning methodologies, which will be taught by trainers.
Students will be assessed throughout the duration of their chosen course of study via theory and practical assessments. These assessments will be performed in accordance to the National Beauty Training Package.
The Academy ensures that access to programs is available to all persons regardless of age, colour, gender, race or social background and no discrimination will be tolerated by the Academy.
Students will be assessed on their skills and knowledge in all core units to determine if their level of competency is on par with that of the National Beauty Training Package.
A C-grade (Competent) must be achieved in all units in order to gain the qualification.
To determine competency in a particular unit, the Academy uses the following methods of assessment:
• Written Assessments (One word and short answer questions)
• Observation (Oral Quetions)
• Demonstration/Role Playing (Practical skills)
• Workbook and Portfolio (Case studies, logbook of treatments performed)
Students are informed in advance of all assessments which will be conducted. Preparatory study guides for theory assessments as well as procedure of practical assessments are also provided to allow sufficient preparation for all assessments.
In the event that a student is given a NYC-grade (Not Yet Competent) in any unit of competency, the student will be given the opportunity to be re-assessed upon the discretion of the Academy.
Assessment Appeal
At the completion of the assessment, students are given the opportunity to view their assessment outcome, as well as the marking guide. Students have the right to appeal against any such judgment. Students are required to fill out a Student Appeal Form which is submitted to the Academy. The Academy will inform students of the outcome of their appeal.
Where an appeal is granted, a new assessment outcome is issued and validated by the Principal. If the appeal remains unsettled, an external assessor will be appointed. Students are required to contribute towards the costs of the assessment review process. In the unlikely event that you are still unsatisfied with the outcome, the external assessor shall explain a third step for the appeal process.
Trainers and Assessors All trainers/assessors possess both training and industry qualifications and are required to participate in ongoing skill development programs to maintain and update their knowledge in order to remain up-to-date with current industry and training standards.
