A. Important informationThe Academy offers both full time and part time courses. For more information, you can find the intake calendar under the same section.
The Academy uses its own curriculum to deliver the Diploma of Beauty Therapy WRB50105 which is a nationally recognised qualification of training. Student’s competencies are assessed throughout the whole course. The list of competencies is detailed under "course information".
A recognised First Aid Qualification is a prerequisite for this course.
The Academy recognises other RTO qualifications provided by other RTOs and students can approach the Academy regarding the recognition of Registered Training Organisations.
B. Fees
Enrolment Fee: $350.00
Practical Kit/ Uniforms/Text Books: $900.00
Commencement Day: $1,500.00
Payment: payable on a monthly term for 10 months

Additional Exams:
CIDESCO Exam $500.00 (payable 8 weeks prior to exam)
ITEC Exam $500.00 (payable 8 weeks prior to exam)
C. Application
Academic Qualifications & Recognition of Prior Learning
The Academy offers courses at different levels. Different academic qualifications are required for each level. For more course information see the relevant course outline on our website. Enrolling students can apply for recognition of prior learning (RPL) for whole competencies and up to a limit of 50% of the course they enrol in. Please note that a shortening of overall course duration does not change the requirement for students to be enrolled in full-time study.
Arrival and Orientation
If students are enrolled in a vocational course, they are required to arrive one or two weeks prior to course commencement for enrolment and orientation programs. If students do not attend the study skills workshops and require assistance later in the semester, a fee will be charged.
Attendance/Academic Performance
Regular attendance is a requirement for all students. All local students must attend a minimum of 70% of classes to qualify for a certificate. If students do not make satisfactory academic progress, they may not be allowed to continue their studies or to re-enrol.

• After reading the Terms and Conditions and the Local Student Guide available from our website, complete the enrolment form and client agreement on the reverse (find the application form at the end of this document).
• Ensure you have attached all relevant documents; please see the checklist on the application form.

If your application is successful you will receive an Offer Letter in your nominated course and campus. We will advise you on fee payment (including registration fees and accommodation if necessary. When payment has been received, we will send you a Confirmation of Enrolment letter.
Payment
Payment should be forwarded by bank transfer. Tuition fees must otherwise be paid in the form of a bank draft or bank cheque and made payable to The Academy. The Academy is not responsible for any amount paid to an agent or third party.
Consent for Use of Photograph
I agree to have my photograph used by The Academy for promotional material. I understand that I can withdraw my consent at any time in writing.
D. Part-Time

CIDESCO Exam $500.00 (payable 6 weeks prior to exam)
ITEC Exam $500.00 (payable 6 weeks prior to exam)
A Total of 1200 hours must be completed before sitting the CIDESCO Diploma.
E. Refund Policy The Academy has declared its refund policy in simple and clear terms so the reader understands his/her commitment involved in enrolling as a student of The Academy. If any part of the following policy is not clear please request further information.
All refunds are assessed on a case by case basis to cater for compassionate and other extenuating circumstances. However in general the following applies:
• If a student withdraws from a course a minimum of 28 days prior to the course start date 50% of the first semester’s tuition fee will be refunded. The administration fee (see Fee Schedule for current amount) will not be refunded.
• If a student withdraws from a course less than 28 days before the course start date 50% of the course tuition fee will be refunded. The administration fee (see Fee Schedule for current amount) will not be refunded.
• Except for compassionate and exceptional circumstances (which are assessed on a case by case basis by the Chief Executive Officer) a refund on course fees WILL NOT be granted and a student is liable for the remainder of any unpaid fees if a student:
• Enrols into a course less than fourteen (14) days prior to the Agreed Starting Date and does not start the course on that day;
• Abandons studies without providing written or verbal notification to the CEO;
• Has their enrolment suspended or cancelled due to them not fulfilling their financial obligations to the Academy.
Other considerations:
• If a student withdraws from a course after course commencement each semester, that semester’s tuition fee will be forfeited. The administration fee (see Fee Schedule for current amount) will not be refunded.
• No refunds will be paid to a third party unless it is indicated at the time the refund application is lodged, that any refunds due are payable to a third party.
• If the academy is unable to fulfil its obligation to complete a course, the student will be offered no cost enrolment in another academy.
• Where a refund is approved by the Chief Executive Officer, The Academy will make payment of refunds within 28 days of receipt of application for refund.
Conditions and Terms of a Refund in relation to:
1. The Administration Fee is non refundable under any conditions, and this amount constituted by a $350.00 fee (three hundred and fifty dollars only) if wavered, payment will be payable should the student withdraw their studies.
2. The first Instalment is non refundable under certain conditions and circumstances.
3. Any amount paid for tool kits are non refundable and those kits will remain the property of the student.
4. Uniform fees are non refundable, the uniform (if applicable, and purchased by the student), will remain the property of the student.
5. Fees for Learners Resources are non refundable, the resources will remain the property of the student.
F. Student Loan Facility
Payment Plans are available upon application to the Academy
Deferred Student Loan
The National Australia Bank’s Tertiary Student Package (TSP) loan is for students who are over 18 years of age and are studying full time and allows students to borrow between $2,000 and $20,000 to cover the cost of fees. This loan is available to The Academy full time students who are either Australian citizens or permanent residents. Terms and conditions apply.
